Hope Fadiga

    For this lino cut project, I started with a plain block. For the image that I have carved into the block, I printed out a picture of myself and then I traced it over to the carving block. I really liked the way that this project turned out because it looks realistic and it also has sort of a pop art look to it. My main focus when I was carving this image into the block was to focus on the black and white spaces. I think that the color has a nice balance because it has an even amount of black, yet it also has an even amount of white. I was very impressed with how this project turned out and I definitely would do this again. I think that if I did a project like this again, I would definitely take the extra time and carve most of the large spaces out because i really like how it took to more of a pop art look.
