Hope Fadiga

              I chose a mountain scene with a sunset in the background. I feel like this image was most likely taken during or close to the evening hours because of the placement of the sun. I feel that this painting has a good value range. This is shown through the sky, which has several different shades of blue, white, and even a little black. Another area in my painting that has a good value scale is the shadow area on the water from the mountains, in this area, you can see many different shades of red, orange, yellow, and white. Another area of the painting that I really liked was the line and texture between the sky and the mountains and the water and the mountains. These lines were very dull and had a fuzzy texture so that they were able to blend in together. I pulled this painting together by using mostly cool colors in the composition. One area of the painting that I would like to change is the shadow area on the mountain because it turned out much darker than I intended it to.
