Hope Fadiga

For this project, I chose to do a flower type of design, but instead of drawing and carving two different blocks I chose to repeat the pattern for the whole page. I feel like this pattern has a good sense of texture because I used different sized gauges so that the design appeared different. This design uses a great sense of space because the lines are equally spaced apart throughout the design. This pattern uses the principles of design. Specifically, it uses balance, rhythm, and pattern. This uses balance and rhythm because the parts of the image are equall distances from each other and the pattern repeats itself. This project uses pattern because the design repeats itself and is planned out in an orderly fashion.
